NFL 2020 Draft Cancelled?! Unprecedented access inside each War room?!

NFL Draft is no longer in Las Vegas due to coronavirus but will still be a televised event.

If you have been following along with the NFL offseason, you know that this year’s NFL draft was going to be in Las Vegas. Not only Las Vegas but on the Bellagio fountains. It was reported that players would be transported by boat from the green room to the stage in the center of the fountains. But due to the widespread coronavirus pandemic the NFL with safety in mind, announced the draft will be moved to a strictly televised event only.

NFL commissioner Goodell stated, “we are currently exploring innovative options for how the process will be conducted and will provide that information as it becomes available.”

So, what does this mean? Speculations have gone around as to what the draft will look like, and it could be very interesting for fans.

Since the draft will solely be on TV and the league cannot gather to make these picks, many believe we will see a war room to war room coverage style. Each war room will only have essential personal such as the owner, general manager, and head coach.  What could be interesting for fans is how much audio we will get to hear inside each meeting?

Could we potentially get unprecedented access where we hear the conversations between organizations in trying to get trades and massive draft moves worked out? One would only hope.

Will the draft take its focus off of the players and put it into the decision-making process of each organization and why they decided on a particular player? Or are we going to see player reactions and interviews from inside their homes as family members and their opinions get involved could make for some pretty entertaining TV.

Will players feel more comfortable like Joe Burrow in saying no, he will not go to Cincinnati from behind a screen rather than the pressure of being on stage?

Another speculation could be getting celebrity fans reactions as the NFL coverage team zoom calls die heart fans in the celebrity world on who they think their team should draft or their responses to who their team gets.

Even though it is devastating that the draft is not going to be held in Las Vegas on the Bellagio Fountains, it still has the potential to be must-see TV if we the fans can potentially get these types of unprecedented access.
