About a month ago I wrote a review on the demo for Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team DX. It had some mixed reviews but after a bit of a wait, the full game has been released. I have played a good chunk of it and I now have come back to review the chunk I have played.
I think the biggest difference I experienced from playing the demo to playing the actual game is the characters. In the demo, I played as Skitty and during the full game, I played as Mudkip.

Switching characters between games showed me something, the difficulty of some areas really does depend on the character you pick for yourself. Mudkip is a ground and water type and has a four-time weakness to grass. So when a grass type would make its way towards me, I would make my partner fight it. The partner I chose was Cyndaquil, a fire type, and he was able to take on any grass type.
One of the biggest concerns I had about the game was that I thought it was going to be too easy and after playing a bit about the game, I kinda agree and disagree. Throughout some of the gameplay, you are able to rescue Pokemon in some dungeons. If you do save them, they join you for the rest of that dungeon, giving you an extra fighter. It’s not hard to save these Pokémon, all you have to do is feed them an apple and apples are extremely common.
On the flip side, when you’re fighting Articuno and Moltres, it is only you and your partner.

These Pokémon are bosses and it is pretty difficult to take them on if you are not prepared. I am personally one of those gamers that over prepares for everything but even with hours of preparation, these boss battles were still pretty difficult.
Another bit of criticism I had about the game is that it gave you a minimap. This minimap makes completing dungeons so much easier as the map shows you were enemies and items are. There are some dungeons where the minimap is turned off but there is an item to get them back on. Cool that there are some dungeons that invite a challenge, not cool that you can totally ignore the challenge.
More on the things I love:
The graphics! They aren’t extremely detailed but they are awesome.

I would describe the graphics as calming and playful. Pokémon look like stuffed animals and have a new face art, expression, and a way of portraying feelings.
Also, playing this game is a way for me to relax. This game is a remake of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team and Red Rescue Team but I enjoy replaying something I played years ago. It allows me to relive the story, relax a bit with a game I enjoy, and fall in love with this franchise all over again.
I still have about a quarter of the game left and I will be completing it soon, after that, it’s time to complete EVERYTHING. After that, I get to restart and play all over again, yes, I love it that much.
I would 100% recommend this to anyone, this is a game anyone can fall in love with.
