In the UK, the Covid Restrictions will be lifted at the end of this month of February. The Prime Minister of that nation said that all restrictions related to Covid will be lifted. On the other hand, The Premier Ligue has gotten the need to still test soccer players and club staff members of the program. The Premier Ligue has tested players and club staff members from February 14, up till the 20th. About 2,958 of them were tested. From these stats, nine were tested positive. Therefore, the need to provide strict measures will still be part of the Premier Ligue’s precaution of keeping everyone safe. But for the most part, the Premier Ligue is going to release some restrictions that will facilitate the ease of not requiring masques to the games as fans gather inside of the stadium. Of course, the social distancing will still be a requirement part of the policies of the club. It is going to move in phases of operations of removing restrictions in the premier Ligue’s precaution measurement scale. Since mid of 2020, the premier Ligue has made sure that the Covid mandate restrictions were followed throughout the game seasons since then. There were some guidelines that were met in the long run that insured the safety of the fans. At first, Covid Passes were necessary to have. This was a measuring clearance to get into the stadiums. And with the new guidelines of the Premiere Ligue, these special passes will no longer be required by the attendees. According to skysports.com, the Prime Minister of the UK is even letting those that are positive with Covid to not be enforced to self/isolate from the public. But the Premiere Ligue is still demanding to those fans that are infected to isolate themselves from public contact. This leaves to the Premiere Ligue to still gather Covid tests despite of the lift of the Covid restrictions from the government.
It is interesting to know that the Premiere Ligue is still following basic protocols for the Covid testing. This makes sense because Covid infections may still spread rapidly among soccer players. The pandemic is still going on throughout the world. Therefore, the UK Premiere Ligue is doing an amazing job to keep their guard up to combat Covid-19 for sure. One thing to point out is that these testing guidelines will be short term. Meaning that it will end by April. So, in other terms, the Premiere Ligue will eventually stop performing Covid test in two months. The ultimate freedom of Covid test will be a relief for a lot of players and faculty staff. I think that a lot of fans and soccer players in the UK are looking forward for a much brighter future of free Covid measurements in the long term of this journey that we all are facing worldwide. It is a good predicament that sport clubs are trying to keep everyone safe up till this pandemic is much easier to cope with. Vaccines and other forms of shots are available to the public, and therefore, the sports venues are getting much less rules when it comes to Covid.
