
Nik Stauskas also known as “Sauce Castillo” opened the month of March with arguably the greatest display of shooting in G-League history scoring a combined 107 points in back-to-back games. Make no mistake his elite scoring is not a fluke, this past season he has been averaging over 22 points a game for the Grand Rapids Gold.
Playing at shooting guard for the Gold, he dropped 57 points on the Wisconsin Herd in a 131-127 victory. Not only was he prolific, he was efficient going an outrageous 11 for 15 from beyond the arc.
The next day he gave his historic performance an encore dropping another 43 points against the Lakeland Magic to give the Gold another win. He remained outstanding from three point range dropping nine three-pointers and only missing four
In the wake of these amazing stat lines, the Boston Celtics took notice and signed him to a two-year contract. After playing for the Miami Heat earlier this season it is great to see him back in the NBA.
